Is Weebly shutting down?

Partly. Khaleej Times reported that Weebly is "winding down" in 67 countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with sites unpublished on September 27, 2026, and account access until December 26, 2026. Weebly has said it has no plans to discontinue the builder in the US, while pointing new sites to Square Online. Check the notice on your own account.

What is the best Weebly alternative?

It depends on what you do with your site. If you sell a lot, look at Square Online or Shopify. For a business website, Atelier201 gives you a static Astro site you own, for €90 a year, with AI to do the rebuild and redirects to protect your Google positions.

Can I export my Weebly site?

You can download your data from your account settings, and the result is a copy for reference, not a site you can run elsewhere. So moving means rebuilding, which an AI agent does quickly from your public pages.

How do I move my domain from Weebly?

Turn off the registrar lock and get the EPP code from your dashboard, then follow your new registrar's steps, or just point the domain at Atelier201 with a DNS change. A domain can't be transferred in its first 60 days, and changing its contact details can start a new 60-day lock.

What does a site without Square ads cost on Weebly?

The Personal plan, at €132 a year, keeps Square ads. They go away from Professional, at €204 a year. Atelier201 has no ads, at €90 a year.

People without an agent can use the built-in assistant.

Do I own my website and its code?

Yes. Each site is a standard Astro project in its own Git repository. You can pull it with the CLI or export code, content and media at any time, on any plan, then run npm ci and npm run build and host it anywhere. There is no vendor lock-in.
