What changed in Atelier201, and when.

SitesCLIMCP

GET /sites/{site_id}/analytics, atelier201 analytics and get_site_analytics read a site’s visitor numbers with sites:read. Turning visitor counting on or off stays with the owner, in the dashboard.

The dashboard lists the preview links you shared, in the site’s settings, and can stop each one. The assistant can now roll back a publication, take a site offline, list and remove media, compare versions and manage preview links.

Guest builds and published warnings

SitesCLI

POST /guest/sites/{site_id}/builds returns is_requested_revision too, and site push --guest waits out an earlier build before building what it pushed. It also returns the build’s warnings.

Publishing now returns warnings: a draft built on the way to going live was never reviewed, so publish and publish_site say what it left out.

Builds that answer for the right revision, redirects with placeholders

SitesCLI

POST /sites/{site_id}/builds and build_site now return is_requested_revision. When an earlier version is still running, it is false and the answer says to wait, then ask again. site push --wait and builds start --wait do that themselves: they return the build of what you asked for, or fail with its log.

_redirects accepts :placeholders and substitutes them in the target, as in /banks/:bank/account/* /banks/:bank/:splat. A trailing slash no longer matters when matching. review_publish lists what a build could not honour, as build_warning.

A build warning now names the Workers and browser storage a preview link cannot run.

Free to create, paid to publish

Plans

A new site is a draft: you create it, change it and share it through preview links for free. Putting it online takes the Site plan. Publishing a draft is refused with 403 feature_not_available and the blocker plan_required, with action_url pointing at the site’s plan. The Atelier201 badge and the limit of 3 free sites live at once are gone.

The live preview in the app now runs at an address of its own, dev-<site>-<session>.atelier201.page.

Managed Astro websites

Sites

Atelier201 now hosts Astro websites for small businesses.

You create a site from the Atelier201 starter at <slug>.atelier201.page and change it from the app, the REST API, the CLI or an AI agent over MCP.

Texts, entries and business details are validated against the site’s content model before they are written, and data-atelier201-field makes any short text editable in place.

Editing never changes the live site. You build the draft, share a private preview link, review what would go live, and then publish. You can roll back to an earlier publication or take the site offline at any time.

Paid plans connect custom domains with a TXT and a CNAME record. An agent can also prepare a site before its owner has an account, and the owner claims it with a private link.

Plans are per site: Free with a badge, or Site.

Use these docs with your AI tools

An AI agent can read this documentation directly. You do not need an account or an API key. Everything here is public and read-only.

Query these docs via MCP

Recommended

Add this server to Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Mistral, or any tool that supports MCP. Your agent can then search Atelier201 Docs documentation and read it in full, instead of answering from memory.

https://atelier201.com/docs/mcp
  • searchFind the passages that answer a question.
  • fetchRead one page in full, as Markdown.
  • list_pagesSee every page in this documentation.

Query these docs over HTTP

The same tools also work as plain web requests. Use this for scripts, or for any tool that does not support MCP. There is one endpoint per tool. Arguments go in the query string, and the answer comes back as JSON.

Read the OpenAPI description. It is built from the same definitions as the tools, so it always matches what the endpoints do.

Read these docs as Markdown

Add .md to any page URL to get its Markdown source. You can also send the headerAccept: text/markdown to the page URL itself.

To read the whole documentation in one file, open llms-full.txt. For a short index of every page, open llms.txt.
