Two different jobs
Lovable writes software. A restaurant, a law firm and a florist need fast pages they can keep up to date. That's all we do, so a Saturday hours change is a form field, with no prompt and no credits.
Lovable builds apps. We build fast websites you can change in a form, with your own AI, without spending credits.
Based on each company's public pages and docs, November 2026. A check means it does the job, a dash that it does so partly or for an extra fee, and a cross that it doesn't, or that we couldn't find it.

Prices exclude VAT and were read from each pricing page, seen from Germany. Credits work differently on each side, so don't compare them one to one.
The median Lovable site weighs 1,781 KB and sends 432 KB of JavaScript, most of it for apps built on its older stack. A website doesn't need that. The real Atelier201 sites we measured weigh up to 351 KB, send 8 KB and score 100.
Competitors: HTTP Archive medians, September 2026. Atelier201: three Lighthouse mobile runs on each of two real sites, November 5, 2026, with the heavier site's weight. On real visits, 17.3% of Lovable sites pass Core Web Vitals on mobile.

You can connect ChatGPT or Claude to either product. On Lovable, the calls that do the building make Lovable's own agent work, so they spend Lovable credits. On Atelier201 your agent does the writing itself, and we charge nothing for its calls.
Every Atelier201 site is static HTML with a sitemap, llms.txt, JSON-LD and a Markdown copy of every page. Lovable's new apps are server-rendered since May 2026, and its docs say a sitemap is "not always" created.

right now using lovable feels like a slot machine. you drop a prompt and just pray you get lucky
Update: just burned 8.8 credits for making some small changes.
It serves the purpose, and SEO is not horrible. But there are issues with lovable, such as CMS is not great.
Your Lovable project is real code, but it's a React app and ours is an Astro site, so it's a rebuild, and usually a quick one for a marketing site. Point your agent at your live pages.
