Wix’s plans start at €16.66 a month including VAT, and the one most people want, Core, is €29.75 a month. The 50% discount on the page only lasts for your first term, so a €14.87 month becomes €29.75 at renewal. Here’s what that means over two years, and what else can get added.
We make Atelier201, which competes with Wix, so treat our opinions with care. Prices are from wix.com/plans on November 4, 2026, seen from Germany. They vary by country: another view of the same page on the same day showed $17.77, $29.77, $39.77 and $159.77.
The plans
| Plan | Regular price, per month | With the offer | Storage | Collaborators | Payments? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | No | |||
| Light | €16.66 | No offer | 2 GB | 2 | No |
| Core | €29.75 | €14.87 | 50 GB | 5 | Yes, basic |
| Business | €40.46 | €20.23 | 100 GB | 10 | Yes, standard |
| Business Elite | €177.31 | €88.65 | Unlimited | 100 | Yes, advanced |
All are displayed as yearly subscriptions, paid in full at purchase. Light doesn’t accept payments, so if you want to take money, Core is the real starting point.

What two years cost
| Plan | Year one, with the offer | Year two, renewal | Two years |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light | €200 | €200 | €400 |
| Core | €178 | €357 | €535 |
| Business | €243 | €486 | €729 |
| Business Elite | €1,064 | €2,128 | €3,192 |
Notice that with the offer, Core is cheaper than Light in year one. It flips in year two. Wix’s page says the offer is “only valid for the initial term of yearly / multi-year subscriptions”. Time-limited offers do change, so check the date on any you’re shown.
What people add later
The plan price is what people compare, and most complaints are about what comes after it.
Domains. The first year is free. One customer wrote that “Wix will give it to you ‘for free’ for a year and then jack the price up to $100+/ year”. Buying the domain from an independent registrar is usually around $12 to $20 a year, and connecting it to Wix works just as well.
Multi-year renewals. A volunteer nonprofit wrote: “Wix auto-renewed our site plan for 3 years and charged us $1,212.19, 35% more (!!!) than the last cycle”. Check your renewal settings, particularly if you’ve taken a multi-year deal.
Apps. Many features come through the App Market. “What started as a trial ended up in over $100+ a month in fees”, says another review. It’s one person’s account, and it’s worth adding up your own.
Email isn’t included in the plan list we saw, so budget for it separately if you need an address at your domain.
How to pay less on Wix
- Decide whether you need payments. If you don’t, Light is enough, and it has no offer to expire.
- Buy your domain elsewhere and connect it.
- Pay for one year, not three, until you’re sure.
- Put your renewal date in a calendar for 30 days before.
- Before renewing, ask support about the offer new customers get. It costs a message.
Is it worth it?
For a lot of businesses, yes. Wix sites do well in the field: 80.9% pass Core Web Vitals on mobile, in our data on website builder speed. You get bookings, a store and hosted everything on one invoice. If you use those, the price is fair.
If you only need pages, you’re paying for parts you don’t use, and it’s fair to compare other tools.
| Tool | A year, regular price | What you give up |
|---|---|---|
| Carrd | $19 | More than one page |
| Atelier201 (ours) | €90, VAT excluded | Stores, bookings, a free plan |
| WordPress | $72 to $200 | Someone has to look after it |
| Squarespace Basic | €171, VAT excluded | A way to take the site with you |
The catch that doesn’t show on any pricing page: Wix says a site “needs to be hosted and operated on Wix’s servers”. If the bill gets too high, moving means rebuilding. To see what moving involves, read Atelier201 vs Wix.
