Through an open Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, a complete CLI, and a REST API, your own Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor agent can connect straight to your project. Your agent can scaffold a complete site, create new service pages, rewrite copy, or optimize metadata.
Those calls run on your existing AI subscription. We charge nothing for agent calls.
And if you do not use an external agent, Atelier201 includes a built-in assistant with 5,000 welcome credits and 1,000 monthly credits per live site.
2. You own the code: standard Astro, in Git
Vendor lock-in is the quiet trap of the website builder industry. Wix says a site must stay on its servers, and Squarespace exports only part of one. You rent your site; you never own it.
Every Atelier201 site is a standard, clean Astro project in its own Git repository:
- Full code export: download your HTML, styles, content collections, and assets with one click or a CLI command (

npm ciandnpm run buildon your laptop, on GitHub Actions, or on Cloudflare Pages. - Complete version history: every change is a commit. If an agent or a teammate makes an unwanted edit, roll it back to the exact previous version in one click.

3. 100 on Lighthouse, ready for AI search
Website speed is not a vanity metric. It shapes whether mobile visitors stay, whether Google ranks your pages, and whether AI answer engines (ChatGPT Search, Claude, Perplexity) can crawl and cite your content.
According to HTTP Archive, the median Wix page weighs 2,768 KB and sends 1,757 KB of JavaScript. Atelier201 sites are static HTML served from Cloudflare’s global network. The two real sites we measured weigh up to 351 KB, send 8 KB of JavaScript and scored 100 on every mobile Lighthouse run.
