# Replace the project with an archive

Requires `sites:write`. Send the archive as the raw request body, 50 MB at most.

`node_modules`, `dist`, `.git` and secret files are skipped, and the response lists what was skipped. An import neither builds nor publishes. It overwrites the whole draft, so [export](/docs/api/media/export) first if you need to keep the current one.
